Jandl wurde vor allem durch seine experimentelle Lyrik in der Tradition der Konkreten Poesie bekannt, durch visuelle Poesie und Lautgedichte wie schtzngrmm, die durch den Vortrag besondere Wirksamkeit entfalten. Jandls Werk war stets vom Spiel mit der Sprache bestimmt und spannte einen Bogen von politischer Lyrik wie wien: heldenplatz bis zu humorvollen Sprachspielen wie ottos mops und funfter sein. Das Spatwerk wurde in der Form konventioneller und im Inhalt schwermutiger, enthielt aber weiterhin den fur Jandl typischen Sprachwitz von Gedichten wie lichtung. I was pleasantly surprised. I got really invested in the main character's journey. Everything just clicked for me. Definitely recommend it if you like this genre.
