Overview: In zijn voordracht De vraag naar de techniek uit 1955 onderwerpt Martin Heidegger de gangbare opvatting van techniek, die haar voor een louter instrument in de handen van de mens houdt, aan een kritisch onderzoek. De ondervraging resulteert in een meer oorspronkelijk begrip, dat een indrukwekkend licht werpt op de aard van de moderne techniek. Heidegger karakteriseert haar als een ‘opvorderend ontbergen’ dat van al wat ermee in aanraking komt, verlangt dat het terstond ter plekke ter beschikking staat. Vandaar dat aan deze nieuwe vertaling van De vraag naar de techniek twee teksten zijn toegevoegd, die hier voor het eerst in vertaling verschijnen: De herkomst van de kunst en de bestemming van het denken uit 1967 en De kunst en de ruimte uit 1969. Gelijktijdig met deze uitgave verschijnt bij Vantilt van de hand van Gerard Visser, Heideggers vraag naar de techniek. Een commentaar, dat de moeilijke tekst over techniek van een grondige uitleg voorziet.

Honestly one of the better books I've read lately. The writing style is very engaging. It’s easy to follow but still has a lot of depth. Worth the time and money.

Glad someone recommended this to me. I got really invested in the main character's journey. Everything just clicked for me. A solid 5/5 for me.

Such a great read. The author did a great job wrapping everything up at the end. No weird plot holes left behind. Definitely recommend it if you like this genre.

An average read for me. It felt a bit repetitive in the middle. Could have been shorter. Probably won't read it again, but it was an okay way to pass the time.

Not bad, but not my favorite. It had some good moments, but the overall plot felt a bit disjointed in the second half. Just right down the middle.
