This is Book One of a series of ten individual books that helps the first grade student to gain reading skills leading to second grade success.Each of the ten Catch-Up Kid's books has its own cast of characters and special theme. The reading vocabulary is carefully presented so that new words are introduced in each book with repetition to enable a young reader to learn to read each sight word, and high interest words, too. By the end of Book Ten, basic first grade words that are found in most school books are presented... and a confident young student feels good about reading.I am an educator who writes reading programs and children's fiction.
