Overview: Finally, a novel that puts the "pissed" back into "epistolary."Jason Fitger is a beleaguered professor of creative writing and literature at Payne University, a small and not very distinguished liberal arts college in the midwest. In short, his life is a tale of woe, and the vehicle this droll and inventive novel uses to tell that tale is a series of hilarious letters of recommendation that Fitger is endlessly called upon by his students and colleagues to produce, each one of which is a small masterpiece of high dudgeon, low spirits, and passive-aggressive strategies. Glad someone recommended this to me. The author did a great job wrapping everything up at the end. No weird plot holes left behind. Definitely recommend it if you like this genre.

Not bad, but not my favorite. Some parts were interesting, while others were a bit of a slog to get through. Probably won't read it again, but it was an okay way to pass the time.

Honestly one of the better books I've read lately. I got really invested in the main character's journey. Everything just clicked for me. Will be looking for more from this author.

Honestly one of the better books I've read lately. The writing style is very engaging. It’s easy to follow but still has a lot of depth. Worth the time and money.

It was just alright. The pacing was a bit slow and I found myself skimming a few pages. It wasn't terrible, just okay. Probably won't read it again, but it was an okay way to pass the time.
