Overview: Little Big Men is a study of competitive bodybuilders on the West Coast that examines the subculture from the perspective of bodybuilders everyday activities. Alan Klein conducted his field study of bodybuilding in some of the world s best-known gyms. Through his study of hustling among bodybuilders, Klein is able to construct a social-psychological male configuration that includes narcissism, homophobia, hypermasculinity, and fascism. I liked it for the most part. I liked the main character, though some of the side plots were just okay. I'd probably recommend it to a friend.

I was pleasantly surprised. The pacing was spot on and the characters felt real. I didn't find myself getting bored at any point. Glad I picked this up.

Good, but not quite perfect. Writing is good, just wish there was a bit more depth in certain parts. Still kept my attention though. Still a good book.

It was okay. The pacing was a bit slow and I found myself skimming a few pages. It wasn't terrible, just okay. It's fine if you have nothing else to read.

Such a great read. The writing style is very engaging. It’s easy to follow but still has a lot of depth. Definitely recommend it if you like this genre.
