Overview: David Hume (Edimburgo, 7 de mayo de 1711 – ibídem, 25 de agosto de 1776) fue un filósofo, economista, sociólogo e historiador escocés y constituye una de las figuras más importantes de la filosofía occidental y de la Ilustración escocesa. Sus ensayos Del suicidio, y De la inmortalidad del alma y sus Diálogos sobre la religión no se publicarían hasta después de su muerte, y aun así Hume no figuraba en ellos en los nombres del autor ni del editor. Hume fue tan hábil camuflando sus ideas que a día de hoy todavía se discute si en realidad era deísta o ateo. A pesar de ello, se le denegaron muchos cargos por declararse ateo. It was okay. The pacing was a bit slow and I found myself skimming a few pages. It wasn't terrible, just okay. Probably won't read it again, but it was an okay way to pass the time.
