Overview: Meet Dior, a senior at Texas Southern University. A woman with a lot of goals but no plan on how to make them come to light. She feels like she has the weight of the world on her shoulder as she tries to finish college and give her family a life where they can all live comfortably. Deuce is who many people on the street consider to be "that ni**a". He's a go-getter for sure. Sexy, thugged out with swag for days. He exudes power and his presence draws people to him but every dog has it day and Deuce soon finds himself taking a serious loss. While trying to pick up the pieces, Duece soon meets Dior and nothing seems to be the same after that. He decides to bring her in on his team and they start an intense affair. Deuce is looking for his ride or die chick. Someone to have his back and Dior is looking for a way out. They click and things are going well until the past comes back to haunt them. Finished it in a couple of days. The writing style is very engaging. It’s easy to follow but still has a lot of depth. Definitely recommend it if you like this genre.
