Overview: Excerpt from Alabama Technical Institute and College for Women Bulletin, Vol. 16: Catalog 1921-22; July, 1922 The Dormitory is a: large brick building, consisting of three Wings connected by cross halls. It contains the administra tive offices, parlors, reception halls, and rooms for 450 boarding students. It is lighted by electricity and heated by steam. Besides the fourteen exits and usual fire escapes, cylindrical 'kirker-bender fire escapes are placed at the rear of the east and west wings. The Library will be completed and ready for use before the opening of the fall term. It is a two-story building, trimmed with stone. The reading room, the main feature of the build ing, is 90 by 40 feet, well lighted and ventilated. The stacks, children's room, work room, and office are conveniently placed with relation to the delivery room which occupies the center of the building. The conference rooms are on the second oor. The Library now contains 7500 volumes and many pamphlets and periodicals, classified 'by the Dewey decimal system. About is spent on the Library each year. Pretty good overall. Writing is good, just wish there was a bit more depth in certain parts. Still kept my attention though. Not bad at all.

Took me a few chapters to get into it, but it was worth it. The middle dragged a tiny bit, but the ending totally made up for it. Not bad at all.

Honestly one of the better books I've read lately. I got really invested in the main character's journey. Everything just clicked for me. Glad I picked this up.

I have mixed feelings about this one. The writing was fine, but I didn't feel very connected to the characters. They felt a bit flat. Probably won't read it again, but it was an okay way to pass the time.

A very satisfying read. The author did a great job wrapping everything up at the end. No weird plot holes left behind. Glad I picked this up.

Finished it in a couple of days. The writing style is very engaging. It’s easy to follow but still has a lot of depth. A solid 5/5 for me.

Glad someone recommended this to me. The pacing was spot on and the characters felt real. I didn't find myself getting bored at any point. Will be looking for more from this author.
