Auszug: Die Schanzenanlage im Kanzlersgrund (auch Hans-Renner-Schanze, Rennsteigschanze oder Schanze am Rennsteig genannt) ist eine Skisprunganlage im Oberhofer Kanzlersgrund in Thuringen. Es handelt sich um eine Doppelschanzenanlage mit einer Gross- und einer Normalschanze. Die Hans-Renner-Schanze (Baujahr 1959 bis 1961) hat eine Hillsize von 140 und die Rennsteigschanze (Baujahr 1983 bis 1987) von 96 Metern. Die Hans-Renner-Schanze war die grosste Skisprungschanze der DDR und zahlt heute zu den grossten Schanzen der Welt. Beide Schanzen sind mit Matten belegt, ganzjahrig nutzbar und werden regelmassig als Trainingsschanzen von verschiedenen Nationalmannschaften genutzt. Auch die deutschen Springer nutzen die Schanze im Sommer fur ihre Sprungpraxis. Die Sprungschanzen befinden sich etwa drei Kilometer sudwestlich von Oberhof am nordwestlichen Hang des 903,8 Meter hohen Schutzenbergs im Kanzlersgrund und an der Landesstrasse 128 von Oberhof nach Steinbach-Hallenberg. Die Schanzen liegen etwa 800 Meter uber Normalnull hoch, dadurch gelten sie im mitteldeutschen Raum als relativ schneesicher. Bedingt durch die zentrale Lage im Thuringer Wald und im tief eingekerbten Kanzlersgrund sind sie im Winter relativ nebelanfallig. Finished it in a couple of days. I got really invested in the main character's journey. Everything just clicked for me. Glad I picked this up.

Not bad, but not my favorite. It had some good moments, but the overall plot felt a bit disjointed in the second half. Probably won't read it again, but it was an okay way to pass the time.
