Overview: Unter dem Pseudonym Vigilius Haufniensis erschien 1844 Kierkegaards 'Der Begriff der Angst' mit dem Untertitel: Eine simple psychologisch-hinweisende Erörterung in Richtung des dogmatischen problems der Erbsünde. Im Begriff Angst wird die Grenze der Freiheit, also die negative Voraussetzung des Glaubens, in ihrem 'psychologischen' Aspekt beschrieben: Der mensch vermag aus sich heraus die 'Synthese des Endlichen und des Unendlichen' nicht zu setzen, obwohl er als Geist auf sie angelegt ist. Diese paradoxe Lage bezeugt sich in der angst; denn die Angst ist unmittelbares Vorblicken auf die eigene, künftige, noch unbegriffene Möglichkeit (die Möglichkeit vor der Möglichkeit); sie hebt jede vermeintliche Geborgenheit im 'Ästhetischen' und im 'Ethischen' außerhalb des 'Religiösen' auf, sie isoliert die Freiheit auf ihr Genötigtsein zur Existenz. Good, but not quite perfect. Writing is good, just wish there was a bit more depth in certain parts. Still kept my attention though. Enjoyable weekend read.
