Overview: Jaký vztah mají dnešní děti a mládež ke knihám a čtení? Co dělají děti ve svém volném čase? Jak často využívají internet a nová média? Došlo v posledních pěti letech v Česku k nějakým podstatným změnám? Kniha přináší výsledky opakovaného reprezentativního výzkumu čtenářství u dětí ve věku od šesti do čtrnácti let a mládeže ve věku mezi patnácti až devatenácti lety, který realizoval Knihovnický institut Národní knihovny České republiky, a uvádí ho do souvislosti s výzkumem, který proběhl v letech 2013 a 2014. Průzkum byl zaměřen nejen na vztah dětí k četbě, ale i na to, jaký mají názor na knihy děti, které se teprve učí číst, a jejich rodiče. Nově získaná data umožnila prokázat vazbu mezi úrovní čtenářství a školním prospěchem. Pozornost byla také věnována doporučené či povinné školní četbě a jejímu vlivu na dětské čtenářství. Nově byla do výzkumu zařazena věková kategorie patnáct až devatenáct let. Kniha se také podrobně věnuje tomu, jaký mají děti a jejich rodiče vztah ke školním a veřejným knihovnám a jak jsou spokojeni se službami těchto institucí.

It was just alright. The pacing was a bit slow and I found myself skimming a few pages. It wasn't terrible, just okay. It's fine if you have nothing else to read.

Glad someone recommended this to me. I loved how the story unfolded. It kept me guessing without being too confusing. Definitely recommend it if you like this genre.

I was pleasantly surprised. The author did a great job wrapping everything up at the end. No weird plot holes left behind. Will be looking for more from this author.

Honestly one of the better books I've read lately. The pacing was spot on and the characters felt real. I didn't find myself getting bored at any point. A solid 5/5 for me.

Pretty good overall. Writing is good, just wish there was a bit more depth in certain parts. Still kept my attention though. Still a good book.
