Overview: Kan din vardag rymma högläsning? Vill du göra skillnad med böcker och skapa en bokallians som når hjärtat? I en Läsklubb finns två aktörer: lyssnaren och högläsaren. Böckerna som används blir till hemliga vapen med superkrafter som ger mening och magi, lindring och styrka. På Drottning Silvias barn- och ungdomssjukhus i Göteborg har bokvagnarna ersatts med Läsklubbar och högläsning som biblioterapi. Bibliotekarien tillika biblioterapeuten gör rumsbesök hos de barn och unga som inte kan röra sig fritt på sjukhuset. Högläsningsstunderna öppnar för vila, stimulans och samtal. Metoden tar närvaron och stunden på allvar och bygger relationer med barn och ungdomar på sjukhus, behandlingshem eller andra platser. Med litteraturens hjälp erbjuder Läsklubben bekräftelse och rum för tankar. Här får man vara sig själv. Eva Selin är bibliotekarie och föreläsare med inriktning på biblioterapi. Hon har under många år praktiserat Läsklubb med barn och unga på sjukhus. I Läsklubb pågår! delar hon metoden med högläsning en-till-en, där barnet får bestämma.

It was just alright. The pacing was a bit slow and I found myself skimming a few pages. It wasn't terrible, just okay. Probably won't read it again, but it was an okay way to pass the time.
