Overview: Il dominio borghese ha caratterizzato la storia europea del secolo XX: due i suoi volti, il liberalismo e il fascismo, che Reinhard Kühnl analizza in questo libro. "L'utilità del libro del Kühnl," scrive Collotti nella prefazione, consiste soprattutto "nella possibilità che offre di ripensare critica-mente l'evoluzione delle moderne forme di dominio affermatesi nell'ambito della società borghese dalle prime espressioni degne di questo nome ai nostri giorni e di riflettere sui meccanismi sociali e psicologici che sono alla base dei comportamenti di determinate classi sociali, nel caso specifico con particolare attenzione ai ceti medi e piccolo-borghesi che tanta parte hanno avuto (ed hanno) nell'affermazione (non già nel controllo! ) dei movimenti e dei regimi fascisti. Ed entro questo quadro assume rilevanza fondamentale l'insistenza con la quale vengono perseguiti i nessi tra l'evoluzione delle istituzioni politiche e le ragioni economico-sociali che ne sono alla base, i nessi cioè tra strutture economiche e controllo politico, il nesso tra l'evoluzione della teoria politica ( anche nel suo significato mistificatorio) e lo sviluppo del contesto politico-sociale dal quale la prima scaturisce. Finished it in a couple of days. The pacing was spot on and the characters felt real. I didn't find myself getting bored at any point. Definitely recommend it if you like this genre.

Pretty good overall. Interesting premise and executed fairly well. Just a few slow chapters here and there. A solid 4 stars from me.

An average read for me. The pacing was a bit slow and I found myself skimming a few pages. It wasn't terrible, just okay. Just right down the middle.
