Overview: Precedida por la rica tradición de la novela clásica cercana a ciertos modelos chinos, la novela moderna coreana se impone una renovación a lo largo de la primera mitad del siglo XX. La Reforma Kabo (1894) abrió el país a la modernidad y, aunque ocupada Corea por Japón entre 1910 y 1945, los jóvenes escritores asimilaron las nuevas corrientes literarias del Realismo y del Naturalismo, y fijaron su mirada crítica y de resistencia hacia las duras condiciones de vida de una sociedad sometida. Really enjoyed this one. The pacing was spot on and the characters felt real. I didn't find myself getting bored at any point. Will be looking for more from this author.
